Ceramic storage system for a great production flow
The world of manufacturing is getting faster everyday, production flow is everything and downtimes and stops can result in a waste of time, money and resources. System Ceramics keeps on innovating the market with a range of solutions to answer every customer’s need and overcome any challenge, starting from something simple yet so important such as short and medium-term material storage on manufacturing lines by presenting three new machines: Multicompenser, Multibuffer, and Multistorage.
Ceramic storage from the past towards a shiny future
Even if a certain way of stocking belongs to the past, System Ceramics took what was good about it and reinterpreted the concept through an innovative approach, starting a new storing-solution era revolutionizing the market.
System Ceramics machines are modular: everyone can find the right solution meeting their needs in terms of cost, functionality and space, given that the three machines we are talking about occupy up to 50% less space compared to standard solutions. Moreover, System Ceramics solutions can manage different size formats with an easy and reliable functional mechanism.
One common technological base, three different ceramic storage solutions
Keeping in mind our core purpose, which is material storage, we designed three different machines to meet different operational needs and solve specific production challenges.
Multicompenser was primarily conceived to serve as a buffer between upstream and downstream machines. Inserted as a “point of discontinuity” between the various processing breaks within a line, such as between rectifying and sorting lines, upstream of sorting lines, upstream of rectifying lines, at the kiln exit or at machine stops, it acts as a safeguard, avoiding the stop of the entire line when a bottleneck or a temporary halt may occur. Multicompenser is the most efficient machine on the market in terms of storage capacity per square meter of occupied floor space: its compact design and high storage density makes this machine ideal for customers with limited factory space. Equipped with a fixed platform on which the material to be stored is deposited, it features a single automatic manipulator that is responsible for loading/unloading the platform and/or the line, making it the best choice for those looking for a cost-effective and space-saving solution, without the need for excessive complexity or high levels of automation.
Multibuffer is a compact, flexible, and more complete solution in terms of mechanical system: it performs a real-time analysis of available “gaps” on the line to progressively fill them, optimizing material insertion, thanks to multiple chains that allow the material to be moved as it is stacked. While Multicompenser has a fixed shelf, on which the material does not move, with Multibuffer material can be moved on the shelf, providing the possibility of filling gaps along the production lines. Multibuffer, in fact, is composed of two independent internal conveyors and two independent manipulators, one positioned at the entrance and one at the exit, which allows simultaneous loading/unloading from the machine without having to load or unload the machine completely. This kind of “piece by piece” approach allows better management of individual storage needs and of small/medium emergencies. Multibuffer can perform better from a technical and functional point of view, setting itself up as a perfect solution for more demanding production lines.
Multistorage is designed for intensive ceramic storage needs and for longer-term handling. An example situation is the management of porcelain gres after the kiln firing phase in scenarios where kilns run 24/7, but polishing or finishing machines may only operate for eight hours a day and need resting. Multistorage provides critical storage that bridges the operational gap, effectively synchronizing production flows. In this ceramic storage system, storage is carried out on rails made from IPE beams, and the handling of the stacked material takes place via independent shuttles within the beams, thus allowing a high degree of modularity. Multistorage too features its own configurability by storage type, by material, by logistics insertion within the production plant, which makes it 100% customizable and adaptable to the context in which it is inserted.
Store well, work better
If keeping a constant flow is the goal, Multicompenser, Multibuffer and Multistorage are the tools to achieve it: no downtimes, no stops, no costs related to loss of production, and time for ceramic surfaces to rest or solidify the raw materials. System Ceramics works to offer the best solution for every need, and you can benefit from it too: find with us the right solutions to your needs.
